SHARPEI

Strategic Harmonization and Advanced Reporting for Policy Enhancement and Insights Acronym: SHARPEI Framework: Interreg Europe Duration of the project: 01.05.2025. – 31.07.2029.

Project aim:

The SHARPEI project aims to enhance the efficiency and impact of Cohesion Policy and regional programme management. By integrating advanced data-driven decision-making and AI technologies, SHARPEI improves daily operations, strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation – ultimately supporting better resource allocation and reducing regional disparities.

The project brings together partners from Italy, Sweden, Portugal, France, Belgium, Spain, Hungary, and Estonia, creating a strong foundation for interregional learning and experience exchange. Each partner plays a key role across the project’s stages, focusing on context analysis, sharing good practices, engaging stakeholders through thematic workshops, staff exchanges, and study visits.

SHARPEI follows three main strategic paths – efficiency, accountability, and forecasting – supported by a horizontal component: the Cybersecurity, Reliability, and Compliance Backbone. This ensures that data and AI usage meet the highest standards of security and legal compliance across the EU.

The project stands out for its focus on the intelligent use of data and AI in managing Cohesion Policy and regional programmes. Through interregional learning and good practice exchange, SHARPEI develops methodologies that can benefit not only the participating partners but also managing authorities across Europe, now and in future EU programming periods.
