Education

The R&D department offers courses in biomedical engineering on behalf of Umeå University. The area is wide and includes components where technology and equipment is used with people in focus. The topic of the courses are interdisciplinary, but with emphasis on physics and technology.

Practical parts are central in the courses to prepare students for working life. The ambition is reinforced by involving physicists and engineers in the education, and that the hospital's high-tech equipment is used in the laboratory work. Advanced biomedical technology is used in Today's healthcare and the goal is to educate engineers who can work in med-tech industry or medical care.
